An independent poll commissioned by the British Council for Offices (BCO) shows that, once government measures allow, Britain is set to move to a ‘mixed’ working style, where time in the office is balanced with time working from home. The survey of 2000 office workers suggests that over the next 6 months 30% of office workers intend to work from the office throughout the week, and the rest (46%) preferring to adopt a blended approach. Only 14.8% intend to work from home on a permanent basis. The survey also highlights the importance of the office to career development, with 71% stating that the office is important for developing networks and learning.
