BCO North: Market Cycles Seminar & Tour of 101 Barbirolli Square
This event will aim to combine a number of topics. First of all the presentation of the Market Cycles Report by Neil Webster, Director at Remit Consulting and Martin Key, Senior Transport Advisor to the Cycling and Walking Commissioner, Transport for Greater Manchester.
In the past 5 years the popularity of cycling has been on the rise. Undertaken by Remit Consulting, the objective of this study is to examine the implication cycling is having and will continue to have on the office market.
The report explores the drivers of demand for cycling and draws on two surveys to understand the role of cycling as part of daily commute to work and the importance of office cycling facilities. The report also highlights the issues that are relevant to the BCO members including occupier demand for cycling provision, how it has changed and what the future holds; implications for marketing of office buildings; regional/city differentials; guidance on cycling provision and the implications for space provision and design.
Following this there will be a presentation and discussion on refurbishment trends in the Manchester office market chaired by David Porter, Office Head, Knight Frank Manchester. This briefing will act as a prelude to a short presentation of the recently completed 101 Barbirolli Square project. Following this presentation tours of the building will be available.
