BCO National Awards Dinner 2009
This year the National Awards Dinner has evolved. Regional Awards have already been announced locally and the winners will now compete for the prestigious National Awards, with one receiving the ultimate accolade of ‘Best of the Best’. In recent years, the Awards Dinner has sold out faster than any other BCO event and with the new format it promises to be a hugely informative and enjoyable occasion.

Dr Phil Hammond
Phil Hammond qualified as a doctor in 1987 and became a GP in 1991. He was half of comedy duo "Struck Off and Die", who had five sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and won Writer’s Guild and Silver Sony Awards for their Radio 4 series. In 2002, Phil fronted "28 Minutes to Save the NHS" on Radio 4.
Phil has written Private Eye’s medical column "Doing the Rounds" since 1992 and presented five series of "Trust Me, I’m a Doctor" on BBC2. He is a regular contributor to "Have I Got News For You" and "The News Quiz".
