BCO Midlands Talk & Tour: John Cadbury House

Overbury were approached by repeat client Aston University to deliver the CAT B fit out of their new headquarters in Birmingham City Centre, which would house the University’s professional services within one building. The space itself; set within a beautiful Victorian building previously refurbished to CAT A by Overbury in 2022; offers commercial, retail and social space, making it perfect for Aston University’s requirements. State-of-the-art technology installed throughout ensures a future-ready environment, complemented by being operationally net zero carbon. The building provides LED lighting throughout, VRF air conditioning, electric car charging stations and cycle storage spaces.

Being situated in such a busy, pedestrianised area require careful planning. Logistics were developed to ensure safety was the top priority at all times, using lessons learned from delivering the CAT A works to the building. The project was successfully handed over in November 2023, much to the delight of Aston University, who are now truly integrated into the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
