What Workers Want – Joint BCO/IPF Afternoon Seminar

The BCO and Savills addressed this question through a survey of 1100 office workers across the country. It asked what had changed since 2013 when BCO and Savills last collaborated on this topic. We asked if people preferred to work in town centres, business parks or rural locations, their views on wearable technology in the office and if they would use standing desks. Attend this event to hear about the findings of this important project and how it will impact the design of offices in the future.

Phil Doyle at 5plus Architects will speak at this event to share his views on how a more sustainable interior environment, based on natural ventilation, personalised control and wearable technology, can improve productivity and the health and wellbeing of workers.

Peter Folwell at Plowman Craven will also provide a brief overview of the RICS property measurement 1st Edition, incorporating the International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) for offices. This will mean significant changes to how office space is measured and reported across the globe. It has been mandatory for RICS professionals since January and contains a number of new concepts.
