The historic Officers’ Mess building at IWM Duxford has been transformed by Mantle Business Centres from its previous condition of disrepair into a vibrant and thriving business centre.

Great care was taken by the design team to incorporate the original features that remained in the building, with original sash windows, cast iron radiators and bathrooms all being retained and reused.

The building’s greatest triumph has been the creation of a vast atrium within a previously derelict external courtyard. This new feature – called The Heart – now forms the hub of the business centre, with reception and management office, a café and co-working zones all coexisting in the bright and airy 3,000 sq ft space.

This event presents a great opportunity to tour this award winning building and to learn more about the BCO Awards from Rob Van Zyl, Chairman of the Regional Judging Panel.
