The construction of the Olympic Park is now in the Phase 3: The Big Build which comprises the construction of the “big five” venues in the Olympic Park with a total programme of 7 years and a budget of £8 billion this is one of the largest construction projects in the history of the UK.

The Midlands Chapter have organised a coach to transport delegates from Birmingham to the Olympic site where delegates will receive a briefing on the progress to date and be taken on a bus tour of the Olympic Park which will drive past all the major facilities under construction. This will include the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre, Velodrome and Olympic Village.

12:00  Coach pick up (Brindleyplace, Birmingham)
           Sandwich lunch will be provided on the coach
14:30  Arrival and security clearance*
15:30  Olympic Site bus tour
16:30  Coach back to Birmingham
19:00  Coach drop off at Brindleyplace, Birmingham
