The scheme was acquired by Helical plc and Crosstree Real Estate Partners in 2012. The original site consisted of two poor quality and run down office buildings within a car park. The rear building was landlocked.

The challenge was to bring value into the middle of the site and this has been achieved by placing the reception lobby in between the two buildings and the creation of a new street with 10 new retail units linking Old Street to Baldwin Street.

The first phase of the development, designed by AHMM, was the comprehensive refurbishment of 211 Old Street, 130,000 sq ft, and construction of a new building, The Studio, comprising 22,000 sq ft of offices.

The second phase, The Tower, 207 Old Street, a 171,000 sq ft high quality office building fronting Old Street, has commenced and is due for completion in Q2 2018.
