SW England and Wales Research Launch – Identifying Opportunities in Obsolescence

Obsolescence is not well understood, and difficult to measure, but an understanding of the drivers of obsolescence is critical to retaining office performance, particularly during a downturn.

For investors, the focus is on office performance as an investment. They want to understand what makes a building obsolete, how they can best manage this stage in the lifecycle of an office development and, most importantly, is it avoidable?

This new BCO research report, by IPD and Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), aims to give a comprehensive review of the topic and provides practical suggestions on how to manage obsolescence in the office sector.

At a time when organisations are finding they have too much space, and the subject of obsolete stock is ever more prevalent, how can the industry address this issue? Join us as we discuss how we can identify opportunities from obsolescence.
