Guest Speaker – Sir John Royce

Sir John Royce is currently presiding Judge of the Western Circuit and has been a Judge of the High Court Queen’s Bench Division since 2002.

He attended Trinity Hall, Cambridge, qualified as a solicitor in 1969 and was called to the Bar in 1970.

He was Master of the Antient Society of St Stephen’s Ringers, Bristol’s leading Society, in 2002. He was a Cambridge Hockey Blue, captained Somerset Hockey in 1976 and is an Austrian Qualified Ski Instructor. His hobbies include cricket, skiing, gold and collecting corkscrews.
