Euan Shearer, RBS Environmental Engagement Programme
Having worked at RBS for 23 years, Euan currently liaises internally to encourage a greater commitment to saving the environment. RBS monitors environmental performance, in particular focusing on 6 key targets: energy, water, waste, paper, travel and Co2. During his presentation, Euan will be taking a look at the RBS environmental journey including their; current environment targets; Carbon Reduction Commitment / Energy Tax; effect on Consultant appointments and Facilities management.

 
Making our Buildings Work Harder

Andy McBain, RBS Head of Intelligent Working Delivery Team
Andy McBain has 28 years extensive experience of manufacturing and office fit-outs and has been at RBS for 7 years. RBS are currently running one of the largest and most ambitious global agile workout programmes across all RBS divisions. The RBS Intelligent Working programme will give staff flexibility on how and where they work. Andy will describe how this will impact on the; number of office buildings required and their locations; existing/new office design and the new design standards for supporting work settings; telephony and IT virtualisation; increased staff utilisation of the core buildings  power usage, and air conditioning etc.

Kate Brown, Grosvenor Group Director, Environment & Design
Kate Brown is based in Australia and provides policy and strategy guidance on the environment and design to Grosvenor’s operating companies internationally. She champions the sharing of best practice and research in sustainability across all areas of the business. Kate will speak on the unique challenge Grosvenor faces in greening an international portfolio that is not only diverse by geography but also by sector; and includes Grosvenor’s historic London estate. She will discuss the various market drivers, Grosvenor’s strategies, and explain why energy efficiency is only one of the key drivers for green property and the challenge of achieving the balance between environmental sustainability and financial feasibility that makes a green building great.
