Offices-to-residential conversion: Establishing the impacts of the prior approval regime

A launch event for new BCO research which considers the impact permitted development rights have had on the functioning of office markets. These rights, introduced in May 2013, allow office premises to be converted to residential use without the need for full planning permission and have been both applauded as a way of reducing obsolete business space and criticised as starving markets of affordable options. We will receive a presentation from the CBRE research team and discuss market implications.

The seminar will be chaired by Ashley Damiral, from CMS Cameron McKenna, speakers are Miles Gibson, Head of UK Research, CBRE, John Danes, Aberdeen Property Investors and Scott Hammond, Essential Living.
