Occupier Breakfast – The Business of Sustainability

All of us are now concerned about the Sustainability of our offices: from the developer who must ensure that buildings meet ever tightening codes and targets, to the investor who wishes to pursue green investment policies and to the occupiers who desire high specification but environmentally friendly offices.

Whilst going some shade of green is the right thing to do, creating and managing a more sustainable office industry presents a new set of challenges and conundrums.

Drawing on the expertise of a number of BCO members, the first in this series of exclusive occupier breakfasts will create a forum in which ideas and issues on the business of sustainability can be exchanged:

· How sustainable can the 24 hour office really be

· How do we balance productivity versus sustainability if we want to change the air conditioning parameters

· The issues of shell and core handover vs Cat A handover – costs, benefits and liabilities.

· Should public transport facilities score above proximity to clients in deciding our next office location

· How is energy labelling going to affect our buildings

Everyone can benefit by looking at how further efficiencies in the delivery of accommodation to the occupier can give real savings in time, money and resources – genuine sustainability.

Should you wish to book more than one BCO member at one time, please complete and return the booking form attached at the bottom of this page. Please note that places can not be confirmed or reserved until we have received payment. On receipt of your payment you will be contacted to confirm whether there is a place for you. Please contact the BCO at events@bco.org.uk should you have any queries.
