Peel Media is investing £650 million in a bespoke environment, designed around the specific needs of the creative and digital industries. MediaCityUK is the first development to achieve a BREEAM Communities “Excellent” accreditation. 

MediaCityUK will be a vibrant waterside community of workers, residents, students and visitors. Built on redundant dockland, across the water from The Lowry Centre and The Imperial War Museum of the North, MediaCityUK will provide a new home for five departments of the BBC.

This major regeneration scheme also includes over 300 new apartments, a new TV broadcast studios complex, the largest and most advanced in the UK, 200,000ft2 starter offices for fledgling media businesses, 500,000ft2 of speculative office space and a new home for Salford University’s Media department. The development is complimented by a new green park and public piazza covering approximately 2 acres and includes bespoke infrastructure to provide secure energy supplies, essential for the media industry.
