The exceptionally quiet, tranquil and evocative surroundings of Stoneleigh Park, provided the perfect setting for the relocation of the NFU from central London to be closer to its members.

Sustanability is at the heart of the project, involving recycled components and high-quality natural materials sourced as locally as possible. Displacement ventilation and chilled beams help reduce energy consumption by approximately 50% against the industry norm. In addition, all landscaping uses indigenous plants and trees.

With exceptional, generally open-plan, space, the building has enabled the NFU to embrace the latest technology, such as wireless conectivity for flexible working. There was a general agreement among the 2008 BCO Judges that this is a well rounded solution of which the NFU should be proud.
