Since 2006, award-winning interior design practice MoreySmith has worked with Arup and Sheppard Robson to implement a step change in Arup’s working practices. MoreySmith’s design for 8 Fitzroy Street transforms the work environment, creating a crisp, clean and flexible design studio setting that is appropriate for the differing needs of Arup’s varied groups and which suits Arup’s culture.

Following a detailed evaluation of the existing workplace, MoreySmith provided design services for the office accommodation, meeting and conference rooms, breakout spaces, and project and team areas from the ground to the fifth floor.

The new workspace encourages collaboration and creative working in what is essentially a corporate building. With bespoke solutions for the display of architectural models, exposed ceilings, diverse wall finishes, graphics and storage, the result is an inspirational environment that accommodates employees requiring a formal corporate feel as well as those seeking a design studio workspace.
