Future Scenarios! Looking for the link between sustainability and value

Our panel of experts will answer questions such as:

  • Can a landlord see return on their investment if they spend more capex to ensure that a building hits green targets?
  • Does it cost more to develop a green building?
  • Are occupiers willing to pay more for a building that has clear green credentials?
  • How green should a green building be? Are current buildings green enough?

This event will be hosted by Taylor Wessing at their offices in 5 New Street Square part of Land Securities’ exemplar green development. As well as grass roofs and a ‘green wall’ of growing plants, new Street Square aims to beat current regulatory energy targets by 15%.

Five New Street Square itself boasts an Excellent BREEAM rating. It includes energy efficient systems; a green roof; and a large proportion of materials used in the construction came from recycled or sustainable sources for example 100% of the timber used was produced from certified sustainable sources.
