Located just metres from Cardiff Central station, Overbury are about to commence the technical fit out of the new headquarters building for BBC Cymru Wales. This prominent five-storey 14,200m² building represents a pivotal development within the two-hectare Central Square regeneration scheme, led by Rightacres Property. The building is on the site of the former Cardiff Central bus station.

Designed by Fosters + Partners with Arup providing a full suite of building engineering and specialist services, the new BBC building will provide television and radio broadcast facilities as well as office and meeting space for 1,200 staff. Constructed by ISG the building incorporates a highly-sustainable and flexible approach offering high floor-to ceiling heights, resilient servicing and collaborative break-out areas. The building is on track to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification.
