BCO Tour of the David Attenborough Building, Cambridge

Previously known as the Arup Building, the building has been re-developed by the University from redundant laboratory and engineering space and is now occupied by the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, a partnership of global conservation organisations.

The brief for the re-invention of the building was an ambitious one – a high quality workplace and sustainability exemplar to be created from one of the least efficient and worst performing buildings owned by the University. The new light and airy office space is arranged over three floors and has been designed to enhance creative collaboration between the partners. It features a dramatic shared central core with a 4 storey high internal green wall. The project also pioneered a bespoke environmental assessment method better suited to existing buildings and able to embrace project specific targets.

We hope you can join us for this exciting opportunity to find out more about this innovative project from the people behind the project and to enjoy some drinks and networking with your fellow BCO members and industry peers after the tour.
