BCO Technical Tours: No. 3 St Paul’s & Albert Works, Sheffield

Number 3 St Paul’s Place is the latest addition to this already successful landmark City Centre location. Number 3 is a new, striking, high-spec office building offering BREEAM Excellent space in the very heart of this thriving City.

Designed around the needs of the discerning occupier, it delivers an exemplar level of specification. The wider city centre, Peace Gardens and Winter Gardens are on the doorstep, creating inspiring public realm immediately outside the front door.

During our second tour, just a short walk away, attendees will explore Albert Works, a RIBA National and BCO Regional award-winning warehouse-to-workplace conversion project. Albert Works creates a headquarter office that sympathetically builds on Sheffield’s industrial heritage. The project involved the conversion of four disused red-brick warehouses with the integration of a new central open plan infill to create approximately 1,600sqm of flexible workspace for brand and marketing agency, Jaywing.

The brief included workspace to accommodate a large design studio and spaces for teams of accountants, data analysts and management. Albert Works efficiently connects these working groups within a single studio environment and sensitively restored the original character of the existing buildings while creating a dynamic working environment that allows for future flexibility.
