The thirteen storey building (with two storeys of basement below providing 40 car spaces) offers exceptional open 10,000 sq ft floorplates with panoramic views across the City. The use of a post-tensioned frame has allowed a practically column free environment and the high level of specification has allowed a feeling of real quality to be created. The form and external appearance of the building set it apart from anything else in the City making it a landmark building.

The site was previously occupied by an unattractive 1970’s concrete clad building and the replacement doubled the density of development whilst still considering rights of light and neighbouring listed buildings.

Although designed under the 2004 Building Regulations, 45 Church Street could have achieved a BREEAM rating of very good under the 2006 assessment criteria due to the efficiency of its major plant and the high specification of the external solar control glazing.
