BCO Talk & Tour of City Hall, Bristol

City Hall, Bristol is a Grade II* building commissioned by Bristol City Council as its corporate HQ in the 1930s. The comprehensive internal remodelling by Alec French Architects has created a contemporary and agile working environment for staff and partner organisations. The heritage status of the building has been respected by the designers; sensitively used as a back-drop to create a vibrant working environment with enhanced public facing spaces.

The award-winning £17m refurbishment of Bristol City Hall has created a spacious, agile working environment that ensures the building will be flexible in the face of changing needs. Where it previously housed just 400 staff, it now has capacity for 2,000. It has been upgraded where possible to modern standards of accessibility and energy efficiency, and public access has also improved through refurbishment of public areas, including the council chamber and committee rooms.

Refreshments will be provided, along with the chance to network with BCO members and industry peers after the tour.
