The report explores the drivers of demand for cycling and draws on two surveys, one a large scale independent YouGov survey, commissioned by the BCO to understand the role of cycling as part of daily commute and examine what place office cycling facilities have in encouraging participation by those working in office buildings. The survey was undertaken to ensure an independent approach with no cycling bias. The second survey was carried out by Remit and was targeted at individuals who have a keen interest in cycling, were involved in the property industry or both.

Furthermore the report highlights the issues that are relevant to the BCO members including occupier demand for cycling provision, how it has changed and what the future holds; implications for marketing of office buildings; regional/city differentials; guidance on cycling provision and implication for space provision and design.
