BCO Occupier Seminar at Deloitte, 1 New Street Square: Wellness Matters

The evening will provide a backdrop to the BCO’s year-long Wellness Matters Project. This has adopted a unique approach by creating a strategic Roadmap to health & wellbeing in offices for occupiers, landlords, and all life cycle stakeholders. Working with leading medical and academic experts the study has reviewed the existing evidence base of leading sustainability and heath & wellbeing standards. The result is an outcome-focused framework against which these standards have been mapped. By doing so the report provides a best practice guide for implementing health & wellbeing across the office life cycle from site acquisition to design, construction and occupation.

Occupiers can use the Roadmap to support building selection, workplace design and workplace performance. The research emphasises the importance of regular engagement with employees to identify, review and refine health & wellbeing objectives, which in turn can form the basis for evaluating the need for relocation, refurbishment of existing facilities and targeted or comprehensive fit out projects.
