BCO NextGen – Tall Buildings – Redefining the City?

BCO NextGen are delighted to announce the next event that will take in two of the most successful and keenly debated buildings in the City’s recent history. 20 Fenchurch Street and 122 Leadenhall, better known as the Walkie Talkie and the Cheesegrater, have both recently completed and in the midst of a slower market recovery than the rest of Central London have now all but let. Record rents are being achieved across these buildings but the ingoing tenants are not entirely all typical city occupiers. What is the story behind these iconic buildings? What have the developers done to reposition the latest tall buildings across market sectors and will new benchmarks and standards in tall buildings be set as a result of these two?

This event will give BCO NextGen members a tour of both buildings, hearing from the developers and designers behind the schemes as well as hearing the success stories from their agents. Later in the year the BCO is also due to publish its latest tall buildings research guide and Nigel Clarke (Hilson Moran) will give a preview of what to expect from this joint publication with the RIBA.

The event will start at 5pm on 26 March, numbers are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
