BCO NextGen South West & Women in Property: Talk & Tour of 3 Glass Wharf

Overlooking Bristol city centre’s floating harbour in Temple Quay and adjacent to Temple Meads rail station, this is the second office building for developer Salmon Harvester Properties after previously constructing the neighbouring 2 Glass Wharf.

This 15,110m2 building is over seven storeys with a roof plant area, and basement car parking space. The ground floor will house retail units with the office space above to be used be tenant HMRC.

The basement uses sheet piled walls and CFA foundation piles with a post tension / RC frame structure to the building above. The façade is constructed with curtain walling and includes balconies to each of the office floors. The building is being constructed on the site of the old glassworks so the shimmering glass effect of the façade has been designed to pay homage to this former use. The floor to ceiling glazing and frameless glass balustrades maximise the panoramic views, with balconies providing solar shading.

The scheme is set to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Following the tour join the South West committee for drinks and nibbles at Veeno Wine Bar from 6pm.

Full PPE will be required, if you wish to borrow this for the event please email mail@bco.org.uk
