BCO Breakfast Seminar – Healthy Buildings : Happy People
Philip Doyle, of 5plus architects will provide an introduction to the topic of healthy buildings utilising The Hive as an early case study. Tim Whitley of Arup will present an outline of how physical post-occupancy evaluation work by The University of Reading has influenced modifications to The Hive’s environmental controls and systems. Tim will also provide an insight to their research into the “desk of the future” which Arup have been developing to respond to the desire for greater personalisation and the needs of the latest generation of office workers. Ashley Bateson of Hoare Lea will complete the seminar by providing an introduction to the WELL Building Standard.
