One Friargate is the first major building in the Friargate Business District and is part of the wider regeneration of this part of Coventry. The scheme is home to Coventry City Council and has facilitated a major transformation in the way the Council operates. The building delivers significant cost savings to the Council as well as introducing open plan working, desk sharing and a low parking provision.

The building contributes to the wider area by the inclusion of an informal ground floor coffee shop accessible to all, and a stunning open plan reception with a show piece white concrete staircase. The development also allowed for the delivery of an attractive walkway between the train station and the historic City Centre.
