• their thoughts on the winning projects
• an explanation of the BCO Awards entry and judging process
• information on how to submit your entry for 2011

National Winner of the 2011 BCO Projects up to 2,000m² Award

Scotstoun House is a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of Arup Scotland’s offices at South Queensferry.

In deciding to preserve the 1960’s building, which was spot-listed by Historic Scotland, Arup wished it to become an exemplar in its own time of how existing buildings might be retained and updated to meet the highest standards of modern office design.

The result is a refreshing, reinvigorated head office which is completely contemporary whilst living up to its rigorous heritage.
