Focus: King’s Cross Central

King’s Cross is a 67 acre development on the railway lands adjacent to St Pancras International and King’s Cross Station. After more than 10 years of investment the first phase is now open and it is fast becoming one of London’s best known districts.

The scheme comprises 50 new and restored buildings and structures. 20 new streets and 10 new public spaces are also being created. King’s Cross has always played a vital role in the life of the capital and today, it is fast reclaiming its central position. It is now becoming an even stronger and more important part of London than ever before.

In 2006, planning permission was granted for 8m sq ft gross of mixed use development. Spread over a site that totals 67 acres, it is providing 3.4m sq ft net of new workspace, 500,000 sq ft of retail, cafés, bars and restaurants, up to 2,000 new homes, a new university and a range of other leisure, hotel and cultural uses. All set in and around a massive 26 acres of principle public space that straddles the Regent’s Canal.

With its unrivalled transport connections, wealth of historic buildings, extensive public areas and inviting mix of uses – King’s Cross is rapidly becoming a sought after location to work, rest and play.

This event provides a fantastic opportunity to benefit from a guided tour of the site by Argent, part-owner and the Asset Manager for King’s Cross, followed by a presentation and Q&A session with the team responsible for delivering this outstanding scheme.
