Guest Speaker | Clive Myrie

We are thrilled to have one of broadcasting’s most experienced foreign correspondents, who has covered major global events from Kyiv to Washington and has won numerous awards including the prestigious Peabody Award, join us as a speaker.

Clive Myrie is one of the BBC’s most experienced foreign correspondents, anchoring the BBC News Channel and presenting bulletins on BBC One. He has produced features for Panorama, Newsnight, and Radio 4, and is the host of the long-running quiz show Mastermind. A fan of the arts and music, he regularly hosts The BBC Proms and has created jazz documentaries for Radio 2 and Jazz FM.

Clive reported live from Kyiv during the war in Ukraine and presented the documentary The Crown Jewels for BBC One as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. His travel series, Clive Myrie’s Italian Roadtrip, was a hit on BBC2.

Starting his career as a foreign correspondent in Japan, Clive has served as a Washington correspondent covering three US presidents and six presidential elections, as well as the impeachment of Bill Clinton. He has held positions as the BBC’s Africa, Asia, and Europe Correspondent and reported on wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the former Yugoslavia. Clive has covered major events, including Theresa May’s resignation and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, earning the prestigious Peabody Award.
