BCO Scotland x SPF Talk & Tour: Scotland’s Rural College and Veterinary Innovation Centre, Inverness

The BCO in Scotland is partnering with the Scottish Property Federation (SPF) to invite members of both organisations to a tour of SRUC’s new Innovation Centre in Inverness.
Threesixty has worked with Scotland’s Rural College to deliver its Rural and Veterinary Innovation Centre on the Highland’s and Islands Enterprise Inverness Campus.

Inverness and its local area is undergoing a phase of significant transition, with investment such as the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport changing the face of the Highlands. The Innovation Centre will support Inverness’ development and help reanimate the City.

The centre delivers space for small to medium-sized businesses, including bioscience focused start-ups. It also features a necropsy suite for wildlife, laboratory spaces to support the development of new products, services, and industry focused research.

The building’s performance targets the aspirational benchmarks within the RIBA 2030 Sustainable Outcomes, with the design team focused on reducing the energy demand of the building through passive design measures, the use of renewable and zero carbon energy where possible, and a reduction of the upfront embodied carbon within the development.

To best allow you to make your travel arrangements for this event, timings will be as follows:
• 13.00 Lunch served at Threesixty’s Academy Street Studio
• 14.15 Bus to the Highlands & Islands Enterprise Inverness Campus
• 14.30 Arrive at the Campus
• 14.40 Talk by SRUC and Threesixty on the building and the evolution of Inverness
• 15.10 Tour of the Rural and Veterinary Innovation Centre
• 16.40 Bus back to Inverness City Centre for drinks and refreshments for those able to stay
