Designed by Broadway Malyan with interiors by Bisset Adams, Explorer House has a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certificate and numerous innovative building systems. The new centre is designed to mirror and foster an integrated and flexible working culture and provide an appropriate platform for a cutting edge 21st century data business.

The designers worked closely with Ordnance Survey’s ‘Arium’ team to fully realise a new truly collaborative workplace culture, producing a building featuring a two storey Business Centre linked to four three-storey workspace ‘fingers’ by a full height atrium with informal meeting and restaurant facilities.

In keeping with Ordnance Surveys rich heritage, orientation and navigation are key internal and external themes, the juxtaposition between true and magnetic north appearing throughout the design.
