QVC are market leaders in multi-media retailing, broadcasting live 17 hours a day 364 days a year. There’s no doubt then that their headquarters, which houses their Broadcasting, Commercial and Support Departments, must function seamlessly. But what happened when they needed to move it all five miles across London?
The nature of the QVC project was a £30m fit out and relocation of staff and studios from Marco Polo House in Battersea to new offices and studio space in Building 8 at Chiswick Park.
The new building required space large enough for an expected growth in staff by 15-20%. Due to QVC’s operations, significant alterations to the base building of Building 8 were negotiated to accommodate large, double height, column free studios with enhanced vibration criteria.
