This event will give attendees the opportunity to hear Scott Hall, Head of Fire Design at Atelier Ten provide an overview of recent fire safety regulations amendments, highlighting trends in fire safety for the future design of commercial buildings and their impact on future projects. Bill Ritchie of Atelier Ten will also review the raft of new and impending legislation supporting the Scottish Government’s drive towards ambitious goals set by The Climate Change Act effective as of October this year.

The evening will also offer BCO members and Non-members the opportunity to see at first hand the re-launched George House office building situated at the heart of Glasgow’s City centre. The project represents the creative adaptation and re-invention of a 1970’s office building into high quality Grade “A” space where principles of high sustainability have been applied resulting in the building achieving a BREEAM “Excellent” rating and an EPC of ‘B’.
