10 Woodcock Street, Birmingham- A Business Transformation Success
10 Woodcock Street demonstrates how a major ‘property’ development can become a ‘people’ programme. You will hear from members of the City Council’s property team and the external Transformation Programme Team on how they have successfully achieved this challenging and demanding ‘property’ transformation programme and how they consider that the building is dealing with the ongoing changes that exist across the public sector in the current economic climate. The result of their collective journey is considered as one of the most significant ‘workforce’ transformation programmes undertaken by any public sector organisation since the advert of local government reform in 1972. You will hear how the design of the building has dealt with key objectives in terms of value for money, being an effective and flexible office, meeting the operational demands of both client and occupiers, and the benefits of collaborative working.
