Description This report examines the impact of conversion of offices into residential use. The research conducted by CBRE builds on an earlier piece prepared in early 2015. With more data now available, the latest analysis quantifies the profound effects of Permitted Development Rights nationally and in London. According to CBRE estimates, in London prior approval has been given for conversion of over 13 million ft of office stock. Of this total, PDR has so far resulted in the actual conversion of
7.5 m sq ft of offices, with Inner London Boroughs most affected.
