Description This report shows that UK businesses spend £28.5 billion in total on their offices during 2012. Of this amount rent was almost half and rates made up a fifth of the costs.

Three regions made up 49.5% of the UK's entire office stock, those three regions were London, the South East and the North West.

The BCO feels that now, as the economy recovers, is the time for major businesses to start thinking more strategically and cratively about their office space. Its a major business asset and our survey found that just over half of the respondents felt that a dedicated property manager should sit on the board of directors.

It is important for businesses to look at how they can achieve more from their space.
