David Partridge takes over presidency of the British Council for Offices

New President takes over from Colette O’Shea with focus on realising the power of technology to shape our future cities and workplaces. The British Council for Offices (BCO) today formally welcomes David Partridge as its new President. David, Managing Partner, Argent, takes over the position from Colette O’Shea, Managing Director of Land Securities London Portfolio, at the BCO’s Annual General Meeting in London.

Invitation to Tender: BCO Research Project - Perceptions of place

Perceptions of place How will office buildings contribute to richer mixed-use places? The BCO is commissioning new research into placemaking. This project is being supported by Argent, Derwent, Development Securities, Great Portland Estates, Grosvenor, Oxford Properties and Stanhope. Occupiers increasingly recognise that the place in which their workspace is located will have an impact on their business’s ability to attract and retain its workforce. This research will focus on the key challenges associated with achieving a better integration between offices and the places of which they are part.

ROCHDALE’S NUMBER ONE RIVERSIDE NAMED AS UK’S TOP WORKPLACE 2014

Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council building scoops top prize at British Council for Offices National Awards. Number One Riverside on Smith Street in Rochdale was named as the 2014 best workplace in the country at the British Council for Offices’ (BCO) annual National Awards in London last night.
