20-21 May 2004, Manchester International Convention Centre
Manchester has always been a lively city - but to its industry, its shopping streets, its clubs, its student population and all other signs of busy metropolitan life, there is now added level of commercial development that has not been seen for more than a century.
The city has once again reinvented itself - still capitalising on invention and creativity, but moving from the centre of manufacture to a centre of knowledge. That all of this is happening is well worth seeing. The way it is happening is well worth studying and pivotal to this is the principle of engagement. Hence the title of our 2004 Conference "Getting Engaged".
